Since 1994, the Spartanburg Surgery Center physicians and staff have been dedicated to serving the surgical needs of patients from Spartanburg and the surrounding communities of upstate South Carolina. In 2010 we opened our new 9,000 square foot facility, which includes four operating rooms and two procedure rooms.
Same day surgical treatments – The Spartanburg Surgery Center is a licensed ambulatory surgical center, approved by both federal and state agencies. This means that our patients are able to return home the same day that they receive surgical treatment. Ambulatory or outpatient procedures provide greater efficiency, convenience and lower cost. Surgical patients are able to recuperate at home in a comfortable and familiar environment.
Orthopedic surgery – At our new, state-of-the-art, multi-specialty surgery center, our patients receive accurate diagnosis and treatment for a variety of both urologic and orthopedic conditions.
Examples of some common orthopedic procedures we perform:
- Carpal tunnel surgery – A surgical procedure done to relieve the pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome, a painful progressive condition caused by compression of a key nerve in the wrist.
- Trigger finger release – Trigger finger is a common problem that causes inflammation, pain and snapping of the tendons in the fingers or thumb. In serious cases, a patient may have difficulty closing their fingers into a fist. Treatment is done through cortisone injections or surgery.
- Fractures of hand and wrist – This includes surgeries related to injuries and conditions of the hands and wrists.
